"The biggest Tech and women-related conference in Europe" took place 13-14 November 2019 in Warsaw, Poland. The even was organised by Perspektywy Education Foundation. Among the participants were women from our group.Official webpage
Maciej Antczak is a scientist and a member of our group. He created many computational solutions for RNA 3D structure prediction. Those solutions are publicly available as web services allowing for scientific, educational and industrial use. Maciej Antczak helps also in organising various scientific conferences (polish and international) and is a very dedicated and innovational teacher. For those accomplishments he was given the Award of "Polityka" for outstanding scientific achievements.Source (in Polish)
There were 47 PhD theses submitted in total, among which 3 were chosen. The authors received financial rewards and special distinctions.Tomasz Żok's PhD thesis titled "Algorithmic Aspects of RNA Structure Similarity Analysis" (supervisor: dr. Marta Szachniuk) and defended at Poznań University of Technology was amongst the highest rated theses and of course received a distinction.The ceremony took place on 24th April 2019, in White Room of Poznań City Hall.

Institute of Computing Science (Poznań University of Technology) was awarded with Polish Innovation Award 2018 for the project "Genomic Map of Poland".
